TINUBU TURN BACK AT TAMBUWAL

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the national leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has drawn the battle line between himself and Tambuwal.
Following the election of a new Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tinubu, who played host to Tambuwal at his Asokro residence in Abuja, told him that “with what you did to Femi Gbajabiamila in the House, you have severed the umbilical cord joining you with the South-West.”
The source disclosed that Tinubu was in company of some Northern members of the APC when the former speaker came calling.

Did you people in the House do this in anticipation of 2019…It is too early. You should allow this government to succeed,” APC leader was cited as saying.
Tinubu emotionally recalled the governor of Sokoto state of the role Gbajabiamila played in his election as leader of House of Reps in 2011.
The APC leader claimed that Tambuwal stampeded Abdulazeez Yari the governor of Zamfara state into coaxing members from his state to vote against Gbajabiamila.
Openly penalized, ex-speaker hastily pleaded with Tinubu to forget the matter, saying “it appears this is not a good time to come and see you,. I’ll come back again some other time.”
It was collected that Tinubu was annoyed by Tambuwal’s betrayal of Gbajabiamila not only because of the role he played in his election as speaker four years ago but because of his influence to provide the governorship ticket of Sokoto for him.
Firstly, Tambuwal’s predecessor, Senator Aliyu Magatakarda Wamakko, had favoured and worked for a relative of his to succeed him.
But Tinubu succeeded on him to give it to Tambuwal, disputing that it will be not honest to leave the incumbent governor in the lurch after his efforts in the hands of the PDP.

The source continued that it was APC leader who bought the N21 million nomination form for Tambuwal to run for the presidency as his thought was that should Buhari agree to step down, Tambuwal would have been put in his place.
It should be noted that some notable northern politicians earlier ganging up against Tinubu. Among others were former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, the former speaker of the House of Representatives and Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal and the former governor of Kano state, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
