According to the Daily Star, Arsenal are closing in on a summer move for Schalke star Julian Draxler with a £30million bid on the table.
The German World Cup winner is also believed to be keen on making a move to the Premier League after a frustrating season in the Bundesliga, where Schalke missed out on Champions League qualification.
Gunners playmaker Santi Cazorla has urged Arsene Wenger to recruit a new striker to help Olivier Giroud and Danny Welbeck carry the load up front.
The Spaniard said: "Yes of course (we need a new striker), because Danny had an injury. We had only Giroud up front. It's better if we sign a new striker for the team and for the club."
