Sinisa Mihajlovic, on Tuesday has been conformed as the new coach of AC Milan after Inzaghi was given his marching orders
The former Inter Milan defender was earlier expected to fill the void left by Rafael Benitez at Napoli but instead opted to join the San Siro Club.

His confirmation as head coach came just under 90 minutes after the sacking of Filippo Inzaghi.

nzaghi had been under fire due to the abysmal performance of AC Milan in the league in which they finished the season in a disgraceful 10th position. “Sinisa Mihajlovic, who has signed a two-year contract, will be the new coach of AC Milan for next season,” read a statement on the Rossoneri’s official website. “The club wish him good luck in his work and the best results.”
Mihajlovic successfully guided Sampdoria to an European qualification after the club finished 7th.
Inzaghi Bows Out
Ac Milan had earlier sought the serviced of Carlo Ancelotti who was given the sack by Real Madrid but the coach refused citing that he had to go through with his plan to take a break from the game in order to recover from scheduled back surgery.
Sinisa Mihajlovic was an Inter Milan player during his footballing career and was notorious for his free kick expertise before he retired in 2006.
