Real Sociedad striker Carlos Vela snubs West Ham United - sources

Carlos Vela is set to remain in La Liga with Real Sociedad.
Mexico striker Carlos Vela is set to stay at Real Sociedad after snubbing interest from West Ham United, sources have told ESPN FC.
West Ham made enquiries for Vela, who has scored 57 goals in 158 games for the San Sebastian club, as they look to bolster their attacking options for next season.
Reports had suggested West Ham were prepared to meet the former Arsenal forward's buyout clause of £21.4 million to lure him back to London, but Vela, who is currently away on international duty at the Gold Cup, has no plans to leave La Real.
Vela has revived his career at Anoeta after initially joining on loan from Arsenal in 2011 before making the move permanent a year later.
The 26-year-old found his first-team opportunities at Arsenal limited during his seven years at the club, spending most of his time out on loan.
He was linked with a return to the Emirates Stadium but the Basque side ultimately agreed to pay Arsenal a reported €11m in June 2014 to remove a buy-back clause that had been in his deal before handing the player a new four-year contract.
