Roy Hodgson’s men will travel to the Olympic Stadium in the German capital over the Easter period on March 26, with the kick-off time still to be confirmed.
Subject to qualification which could theoretically be confirmed this September, the fixture against the world champions will form part of England’s preparation for the UEFA EURO 2016 finals in France next summer.
March’s fixture will be the first trip to Berlin since November 2008, during which England won 2-1.
England will also face Euro 2016 hosts France on November 17 at Wembley and have discussed further games against Spain and Holland.
