On April 14, 2014 more than 200 students of the school were abducted by the Islamist terror group Boko Haram  while writing their final examination.
The Chairman of the association of parents of the abducted girls,Yakubu Maina, revealed this at a news conference in Maiduguri.
Maina said the call was necessary because the group had turned the agitation for the release the girls into a scam.
The secretary of the association, Lawan Zanna, lamented that the imposters often deceived some parents into attending their functions only to be scammed.
“Some real parents had been lured to attending meetings with highly placed individuals in Abuja and beyond only to discover that they have been short changed by these individuals.”“We have realised that the whole thing has been turned into business by individuals who pretend to be fighting our cause,” he said.
He also said that 14 parents of the abducted Chibok girls have died due to heart related diseases.

In a related development, Babuji Ya’ari, the businessman accused of leading Boko Haram in their abduction of over 200 female students in Borno state, has been arrested.
