Arsenal are preparing a fresh bid to sign William Carvalho from Sporting Lisbon, according to The Sun.
The Gunners have increased their original £20million offer to £28.5 after it was rejected by Sporting.
Carvalho has a £37m release clause in his contract by Arsenal are hoping that Sporting will consider a move.
And the cash-strapped Portuguese giants could accept the deal if Arsneal agree to pay the rest in £8.5m worth of add-ons.
Porto striker Jackson Martinez admits Arsenal have not made an offer to sign him.
Martinez is expected to leave Porto in the summer, however, he has yet to make a decision over his future.
"Arsenal are a great team, in one of the world's best teams, and I'm waiting to find out what my future holds," said Martinez.
"I still don't know, but the day when I find out is getting closer."
And Sevilla's Grzegorz Krychowiak will not push for a move if Arsenal fail to meet his £21m release clause according to the Daily Mail.
Krychowiak, who is also being tracked by Manchester United, is unlikely to hand in a transfer request as he is looking forward to playing in the Champions League with Sevilla next season.
