Chukwu Unhappy With Eagles Ranking

Super Eagles
Former Super Eagles coach Christian Chukwu is not happy with the latest ranking of the senior national team, Super Eagles.
The former Kenya National team manager said the players must work hard to improve on the monthly FIFA ranking.
“I am not happy to hear that and i think our players must work really hard to improve on that,” says the ex-international.
“I thought our national team is gradually coming up with the victory over Chad last month but with this ranking, i am not happy and that shows that Sunday Oliseh has a lot to do to ensure that the lost glory is brought back to the national team”, he added
Chukwu however cited the event that have unfolded since the Super Eagles defeated Chad 2-0 in their first 2017 African Cup of Nations qualifier in Kaduna as likely reasons why the country dropped on the FIFA ranking.
Major part of the event has also led to the exit of Coach Stephen Keshi from the country’s national team.
Nigeria slid down the FIFA rankings released by the football body on Thursday, despite the Super Eagles winning their only competitive game in June, the month under review.
The 2013 African champions were ranked 43rd for May, but they fell a shocking 14 places to 57th for June and lost a massive 81 points. They had 681 in May; they now have 601.
Interestingly, Chad, who lost 2-0 to Nigeria in Abuja in an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in June, fell only one place to 173rd in the world.
They had 100 points for May, the same they have for June.
