Earlier today news broke that the country leader made an unprecedented move to reduce the cost of government, which is to sell the luxury aicrafts from the presidential fleet. The cost of the most expensive plane, used by Buhari for travelling, was estimated at approximately $100 million.
An aviation source purportedly said:

According to Premium Times, on June 19, Friday, Buhari’s media aide Garba Shehu expressed surprise over the circulating information.
The senior special assistant to the president on media and publicity was quoted as saying:
“The story of the order for the sale of aircrafts in the Presidential Fleet, about which so much interest is being expressed, is not known to us. “
He added that if anything like that was being contemplated, the presidency would issue a statement through its official channels to announce it.It is worth noting that the morning news generated a lot of reactions, with Nigerians expressing admiration with Buhari’s instruction.
