Sergio Ramos-David De Gea swap: Poll shows fans opposed to idea

Real Madrid would be worse off if they let Sergio Ramos leave in exchange for Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea, according to almost three-quarters of respondents to a poll in Spanish newspaper AS.
With reports circulating that defender Ramos has said he wants to leave the club after 10 years, speculation has grown that he could move to Old Trafford in a deal involving fellow Spain international De Gea.
AS asked readers whether they believed such a move would have a positive effect.
And of 12,102 respondents on Wednesday, 8,921 (73.72 percent) said they were against the idea, with 3,181 (26.28 percent) backing it.
Ramos has two years remaining on his Madrid deal, but talks about a new agreement have stalled.
The 29-year-old's deal has a £128 million buyout clause in his contract, but that is not thought to have put off United, who are keen on adding the World Cup-winner to their squad.
Cope reported that United had put together "a package that would see Ramos receive 1€12m in his first season, then €11.5m, €11m, €10.5m, and €10m over the course of the remainder of a five-year contract."
